I clearly remember driving deep into the east bay and at Concord they had a naval wepons depot that had bunkers and land for miles for munition storage.Also there was the ghost/mothballed fleet somwhere around there .Besides being heavily industrialized the east bay was freaking hot. I had the choice of living in the Sunset District or the Berkeley Hills and I took the city for purely job related reasons.
